We, who live in Japan, do not usually see it, but there are many people in the world, especially in developing countries, who need support in areas such as medical care, education, poverty alleviation, and regional development. Also, in Japan, there are people who have been affected by frequent natural disasters such as the 2011 East Japan Earthquake and need assistance.
This everyday life that we take for granted should be given equally to everyone. The first thing that we, who lives in Japan, can do is to recognize what is happening around the world.
WE, the Salvation Army, is a Christian (Protestant) organization born in the United Kingdom and engaged in evangelism work while providing social welfare, education, medical care, etc. for those who are suffering from these problems occurring around the world and seeking help.
The Salvation Army is a military-style organization, as the name "Army" implies, and members wear uniforms, caps, and rank badges. It may seem a little different in modern Japan, but the reason is that military formations can provide smooth support, and uniforms allow the Salvation Army to be seen at a glance anywhere in the world.
We, the Salvation Army, exist for those who are all in need of salvation.
