Currently, 736 million people (as of 2015) are living in poverty, which does not meet the minimum standard of living, mainly in South Asia and Africa. This is 10% of the world's population. In these countries, children are left out of society due to lack of water, sanitation, nutrition and primary education, which will have a major impact on their lives later.

Natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, droughts, and typhoons have killed many people around the world, destroying their livelihoods in an instant and threatening their lives. The number is estimated to be about 160 million per year. Most of the victims of this disaster are concentrated in low-income and middle-low-income countries, and the vicious cycle of disaster and poverty is an serious issue. In these countries, many victims are said to be children, and even if they can survive the crisis, their lives will remain difficult in the situation where the living environment is destroyed.

In the world, vulnerable people are traded for the purposes of forced labor, sexual exploitation, organ removal, etc., and human trafficking is rampant under the control of others. Most of the victims are women and children and the number is said to be 21 million, but because human trafficking is done behind the scenes, it is estimated that there are more victims of this matter.

It is said that there are about 264 million children in the world who cannot attend elementary, middle and high schools. Many of these children live in Africa. They cannot attend school because of the reasons such as lack of note books and uniforms, having to work for financial reasons, high risk going to school due to conflict, no school in the community, no teachers, etc. It is essential for these children to receive education for the development of the future of the world.
